Winter wonderland
Messila is one of the best places in the world for beginners to learn snowboarding. Ideal snow conditions & gentle gradients make this location in southern Finland perfect for learning snowboarding. Just 5 minutes from Lahti and one hour from Helsinki, getting here is easy as well!
Night snowboarding
Messila has ten slopes & ten lifts. All the slopes are perfect for beginner snowboarders & since the floodlit slopes open at 10am and close at 9pm, you can get up to 11 hours of snowboard lessons in a day. For those looking for a challenge, Messila has a well maintained fun park.
Snow conditions
Finland’s cold mean the snow conditions are good most of the season. It’s not unusual to have temperatures of -20, so dress warm.
The extreme cold makes lots of unique activities like skiing across lakes, ice-fishing & snow BBQs possible.
